What is Reiki?

Reiki means spirit energy or may be translated as lifeforce energy. It is a Japanese mode of healing where energy flows through the hands of the Reiki Practitioner to you.  Special symbols are used which enhance this flow and enables the healing to go wherever it is needed in the mind and body.  

What will I Experience?

After we have completed some notes (a history) on the health/emotional challenges you may be facing, I will ask you to lie, fully clothed, on the therapy couch or remain seated in a chair if that is preferable for you.

I will place my hands on or over your body in a sequential method, determined by whatever is troubling you.  Often clients find this very relaxing and may even fall asleep.  It's possible you may feel changes in temperature and tingling sensations but it's rare to feel anything uncomfortable.  

Are There Any Side Effects?

Reiki is a very gentle energy therapy and works uniquely for each person, going where it is needed. It is possible to experience some feelings of detox the following day - tiredness, mild upset tummy - but not everybody does.  Most people just feel energised and lighter.  

What can Reiki do?

Many things and here are some of them:-
- General rebalancing of the body
- Relaxation and de-stress
- Removal of fear and emotional upset
- Decrease/remove pain
- Clear energetic blocks
- Helps to heal the root source of your challenges

Where can I have Reiki with You?

You can come to see me at Shooters Hill, Greenwich  SE18 or The Hale Clinic in Harley Street, Central London, W1.  If you are not able to visit, perhaps distance healing would work for you and we can include facetime with this method.

Can Anyone do it?  Can You Teach me Reiki?

Absolutely!  Come and experience a session or two first and see how it feels.  If you then feel motivated to become a student, I hold Reiki courses year round and will be delighted to teach you. All courses are accredited by the Reiki and Seichem Association.  I am also regulated by the Complimentary & Natural Health Council.  I also hold monthly Reiki Shares for my students.
