Are Your Thoughts Making You Sick?
Our thoughts & emotions create our future reality and it's not always obvious but to give an example of this in it's negative form; a period of unhappiness or a shock event can occur and sometime later we find we get the flu or perhaps sink into a depression, or worse. There is often a time delay and we tend not to relate the illness back to the event.
Traumas always affect the immune system and do take time to somatise (transform from an emotion to a physical condition). There's no recipe to it, we are each unique, and so it can take days or sometimes years, depending on the individual and their own situation. However, if we become consciously aware of how our thoughts cause physical reactions in the body, we can manage them and, with help, can change our thought patterns and restore health & happiness.
So if we can cause such damage with negative thoughts and emotions, imagine what amazing futures we can create with positive thoughts! It's a question of being mindful, aware, setting intentions, releasing past hurts and being responsible for ourselves.
This pattern of thinking takes time and practice and it's not always possible to do it alone. But after a while it becomes second nature, positive thinking becomes the 'new normal' and it works miracles! Traumas and dramas will always occur in life but we can change how we react to them to ensure our future health & happiness.
