10 Ways to Strengthen Your Spirit & Health During Covid
It's not an easy time but here are some things that have been helping me stay positive and energised:-
- Routine: get up early and set do-able positive intentions for the day.
- Exercise Outdoors: daily, preferably in green space or woodland.
- Energy Shifters: try indoor exercise with YouTube videos like Qigong, Yoga, Pilates - great for shifting stuck energy.
- Eat Healthy: eat a plant based diet as much as possible to help restore the body and balance pH levels. Many people with illness have acidic pH levels from eating too much meat, grain and sugar. Aim to eat more alkaline foods - more fruit and veg - and keep acidic foods to no more than 20% of the daily diet. Google a chart of acid and alkaline foods to help you.
- Still Time: set aside time each day for meditation/prayer/creative thought. Turn the news off and tune in to yourself and your own thoughts, knowledge and ideas. Again, YouTube is a great place to find guided meditations and other self help techniques. This will pay huge dividends for your mental and physical wellbeing.
- Plan: for the future - dream big, plan a reunion for family & friends, log all the changes you may want to make in your life
- Help Others: use Skype/Whatsapp for family, friends &neighbour connections
- Learn: something new that will interest you and may help you in the future
- Make Space: clean house and make physical space for new energy to come in to your life
- Resolve: to let go of the past, be thankful for lessons learned and start today afresh. New chapter!
