You are as Important as Anyone Else

How is that so many of us think that we are not so important as others? We often think others are wealthier, more intelligent, more beautiful, more capable and so on... We can be incredibly self limiting and this is likely to be learned behaviour. So how can we change our patterns of thought?
Our brains are amazingly powerful and actually it's our subconcious, automatic behaviour that runs the show for most of our day. Learned behaviour that forms progams in our minds and just operates automatically. For example, riding a bike, driving a car and all the stuff that gets us from A to B where we are actually not thinking very much at all.
The programs logged in our 'hard drive' (specifically the amygdala which is part of the limbic system) also include fight/flight automatic behaviour for the way we react to various situations and experiences. For example, the train is late and one person may react in a rage which floods their body with cortisol whilst another person will calmly get a newspaper and a coffee and wait for the next one to arrive.
Our learned behaviour automatically plays out our own unique programs and they may not always be helpful or current. We may have moved on in our level of maturity but we're still sometimes playing out old programs which no longer serve us well.. This is true of addictions that people have and can't seem to escape from.

So sometimes our learned patterns of thought and beliefs require editing to enable us to think in a more positive way. Thereby, allowing us to use our conscious mind to create our day instead of leaving it all up to the subconscious. Learning to create your reality with your conscious thought is very empowering. It certainly puts you in a position of being more in control and that can bring magic to your day and reduce stress and anxiety.
Working with a holistic counsellor/coach is a good place to start learning how to do this so that creative thinking ultimately becomes your 'new normal' - if you work at it. There are great tools to help with this, EFT 'Tapping' is one that works particularly effectively. Guided meditation and metaphysical counselling are other ways to explore the self and make changes that help you shed self limiting beliefs.
If our minds are powerful enough to put ourselves in little boxes, then it's perfectly possible to use our minds to put ourselves on the main stage.
If these ideas resonate with you then come and work with me at The Natural Healing & Biomagnetism Clinic in Greenwich or The Hale Clinic in Harley Street, London.
